Jai Jagannath!!

Jagannath Puri's Rath yatra!!

10 day when lord visit's his Masi (aunty's) house  and is off for a vacation. They say this 10 day lord is out of his home to spend time with his followers. It is believed that when lords Rath is been pulled by millions of bhakts all other forms of God is present there to shower flowers on the rath. Before they pull the rath Raja of Puri sweeps the rath with Gold broom to set an example that everyone is equal in front of Lord. All this making me laugh, Lord on a vacation and other God paying their tribute etc how our ancestors imagination made good stories and we blinded with Bhakti just follow what our ancestors believed in. My mum used to tell me seeing is believing & i used to say, "Aha! is it?"
When we reached the VIP lounge (which is just outside that temple, opp. the 3 rath) I saw a huge gathering of Bhakts (in a narrow lane of 2 - 3 kms filled with  12 lakh ppl)  in  43 degree temprature making all of them melt almost & crushed to death!! What was suprising was thou people were fainting because of sun stroke, getting crushed to death but NOONE had pain in their eyes infact they had that SHRADDHA & SATISFACTION in their eyes the Joy in their chants and a BELIEF that my lord is there to take care of me.
That is when I felt something. Something that is beyond words or something that Lord Buddha must have felt during nirvana. A soul is me was making me feel so light that i felt i was on a different planet! My conscience was clear and no thoughts running in my mind just one name "Shri Krishnam Sharnam Mamah" and could see the lord alive rite in front of me in the form of Shraddha, Hope and Belief! Thats the 1st time I could understand Y they say, United we stand". Like arjun in Mahabharat I could just see my lord and me, every pain, grief, complains, anger, ill feelings, negativity in me had vanished! I was just smiling and Thanking lord, how you feel , "If i get 1 chance to meet God would ask dis or dat" trust me the day u do, u just could not say anything except THANK YOU!!
The icing to the whole experience was we got the Platinum opportunity to Hug Lord Balramji, Maa Subadra & Jaggannathji's idol. Imagine you "Hugging" LORD!!! Aaisa kya punya, kaunsa aashirwad ya dua thi jo manzoor ho gayi aaj!! Real meaning of Bliss was understood the reason for this life was found.....
One must visit Jannathpuri's rath yatra on the 1st day to know & undertsand what i am saying. when i used to watch the yatra on T.V. it was just another Yatra but your one visit shall change not only the way you think about it but also d way u think and take life....
Thank you Mum, Dad & Mama for this opportunity and such good upbringing that brought us so close to God esp. our soul.

Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Thodenge - My Version

Its 10 minutes post 9 and we are calling Tanni to check what excuse apart from "babes have changed & tiered too, I have to wake up @ 6 a.m. tom" & we would just say c'on yaar it takkes 5 minutes to change & will just chit chat to half & hr. that's it. Finally she agrees & is down in flat 10 minutes.
Dunno Y but each time we plan to meet i always have someone visiting me or a phone call or something that makes me late making my both lady love Tanni & Anu furious enough to come to my place & drag me out literally.
Our conversation starts (am underling the word OUR) with our daily routine, thoughts, observation, dream etc etc ... We just go on & on & on @ times V throw the Koffee wid Karan's rapid fire type questions on each other which helps us to understand or sort lotta things within us. When v are on a serious ride "WE" talk & analyse situation in a very professional manner, when our funny bone tickles there is no end to our laughter & madness!!
What makes our bond so special is the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.

Tanni: The Thinker, Dancer, Creative Writer, Singer, PLANNER etc etc of our group. She is so punctual that even watch wud check the right time with her ;-)Tanni injects a lotta dimensions on how to effectively manage Time, Office, Friends & Family in the Best possible way. I just like the way she sets her priorities in life!

Anu: She is a Designer with loads of aspirations and creativity, which she overlooks sometimes. I like the way she is FOCUSED on her goal. Her eyes are more expressive & strong asset after her sweet innocent smile. We wish she adds wings to her thoughts & visits U.S. where she can upgrade her skills & make the most of her talents before she settles for the Mr. Right.

The World is so empty if one thinks only of the mountains, rivers, and cities; but to know someone who thinks and feels with us,and who, though distant is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden. I am so glad I have found not one but 2 such friends in the form of Anu & Tanni.

Love u both & Yeh Dosti hum HAMESHA jodhkar rakhenge aur Bhavika ki bak bak sunege....

Let me free...

Being a Sagittarian this feeling to break open and run away to a place where i don't belong is very natural. Its like God has prescribed a short weekend or a week holiday once a month as a mandatory rule to survive much to my friends surprise & envy. But I guess I am mother natures girl and need to go back to ma roots to revive & uplift my spirits to draw a new dream or a new hope... Beaches, Mountains, Valley, Greenery, Farm house, Train, flights etc... be it ne place where u r not leading your routine life where u get to meet strangers and exchange experiences
I remember once travelling from Pune to Mumbai in the local S.T bus as we were brook. We were 13 girls and only money left with us was the bus fare. The Queue to our surprise was as tall as "chane ka jaad ;-)" i mean as tall as my statement!! But we had no option but to wait in the scorching heat to buy out tickets.
We started interacting with the passengers in the Queue with our FAQ's which they happily replied as their only time pass were our Kaun Banega Crorepati types questions and slowly the players to claim for fame by answering the question started expanding and soon the questions got replaced to Indian's favorite picnic timepass Antakshari. I will never forget how the local vendors selling pop corns etc. offered us one free snacks as we had no money to buy and we gave them good business in d form of spectators to fill their free time with our cheerful songs & stomach with the pop corns!!
Finally the moment we all were waiting for (no not for the blog to end) our Tickets!! We were in the bus which was no more looked like an ordinary ST bus but an privately booked bus with all ours new friends in it!! We played Housie (another famous game) and we were their entertainers and guess what we hit the jackpot and got Full house price money Rs. 50 good enough to buy Vada Pav and Cold drink for all of us.
We thought our journey in ST will be the worst nightmare, which much to the delight of all my friends including Me was one to the most memorable bus ride. The conductor (condu) was also a part of our team & he too helped us with few old Marathi songs when we were in need of 1, an old uncle who was upset of leaving his grand children as he had to resume work @ Mumbai and many others completely lost in the run ride keeping all their worries @ bay.

You know which was the BEST part of the trip, Grandpa whom we lovingly called "Aajoba" started dancing with us and when he got breatheless he sat down and catching his missing breathe started singing "Aaj phir jeene ke tamana hai...." in between all the shore sharaba everybody stopped what they were singing and started cheering Aajoba's song with their clap. Shall never forget that smile on his face & the satisfaction in his eyes, am assuming he felt as if he was a rockstar & has given an electrifying performance which indeed it was....
There are so many stories, experiences which i would like to share to the one's who think that, "Y travel so much and exert physically and spend the mollah's too, it is always better to buy Plasma wide screen TV & travel across the globe with Travel & Living or other travelling programs/channels" .
Hey Tanvi (10v) thanks for writing such encouraging blogs which has encouraged me (an vocal expression person) to pen down my experiences & thoughts. Am not a professional blogger & don't intend to be 1 either in fact i don't care if m making ne sense in ma blogs too as far it is Dil se...
Shall keep updating as soon as i find time Tanni, till then off for a vacation!! :-)
